Business Valuation Manager

Our Valuation and Litigation Services Group is a fast growing area of our practice. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to enjoy a challenging position achieving substantial professional development.

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance. The ideal candidate is familiar with valuations of closely held businesses, proficient in financial modeling and analysis, as well as performing industry and economic research, and analyzing guideline company and transaction data. Candidates should have five or more years of valuation or related experience. A CVA, ASA and/or ABV designation is preferred. Strong analytical and written and oral communication skills are required.

Responsibilities:

• Possess ability to market services of the group and firm

• Intimate understanding of financial statement construction and ability to perform detailed financial analysis

• Development of cost of capital

• Prepare calculations under all three valuation approaches

• Research and develop applicable discounts including lack of control and lack of marketability

• Prepare valuation reports in accordance with standards set forth by credentialing bodies

• Preparing valuations in accordance with SFAS 141, 141R and/or 157, as well as 123R

• Litigation support experience including lost profits calculations and other damages assessments, divorce consulting (including valuation and net disposable income calculations), and provision of expert testimony is preferred but not required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• CVA, ASA, and/or ABV preferred

• Strong academic credentials

• Strong analytical, organizational, written and oral communication skills

• At least five years of relevant experience

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
